You can enter a maximum of 2 times, but each submission must be entered into a different category. (E.g. You can enter a drawing into the Arts Category, and also enter a dance video into the Active category).
You can enter individually or with ONE other person who must be in the same Stage Group as you.
You can submit the following formats: PDF, JPEG, gif or png, MP4/video file. The maximum file size for any format is 1GB.
You must have your parent’s permission to enter the competition and to upload your submission to the website
Your parents/carers or others may help you to film, record, take a picture or upload your submission but it must be your own work.
Video clips must be no longer than 3 minutes in length.
Your entry may be shown in assemblies and/or in the school newsletter.
Entries will be accepted from Friday 25 September 2020
The Competition will close on Sunday 8th November 2020
Round 1 winners will be announced at the assembly on 13 November 2020
The Stage Group winners will be announced at the assembly on 20 November 2020
Student Voting will open on 20 November and close on 25 November 2020
The Grand Final winner will be announced at a special assembly on 27 November 2020.

The judges decisions will be final.
The Grand Final winner will be judged by YOU the Bayview students! Each student will be allocated ONE vote.
The judges will use the following criteria to judge the entries:
The contestant’s ability to draw a positive response with a strong, confident submission
The contestant put in a good effort
Great effort overall!
The contestant achieved all expectations and the submission was well organised and/or rehearsed.
Original material that is distinctive from other submissions
There were some aspects of creativity/originality.
The submission was creative.
The submission showcased originality or was distinctive/unique from other submissions
Quality of the performance/talent especially for age, amount of mistakes
Some mistakes were made but good quality of material
Fairly consistent submission with few mistakes and the ability to engage
Impressive, engaging submission with no or minor mistakes
Contestant’s personality/ character is displayed in the submission
Some of the contestant’s personality came through
Personality was recognisable
Personality naturally came through
All entries are critiqued and scored by our judges to decide the winners of each Category in each Stage Group. Therefore, there will be a total of 12 winners in Round 1 and these will progress to the Stage Group Final.
Using your original entry, the judges will decide who is the overall winner of each Stage Group. The 4 winning contestants will then proceed to the Grand Final.
Using your original entry, the Grand Final winner will be decided by a vote. Each student will be given one vote. The contestant with the most votes will be declared the winner of Bayview’s Got Talent!
Each entrant will receive a gift pack containing a Participation Certificate, special bookmark and treats.
The Stage Group Category winners will also receive a gift appropriate to that category.
The Category winners will receive the gift appropriate to that category and a medal.
The Grand Final Winner will win a gift, the inaugural Bayview’s Got Talent Trophy and get the opportunity to bask in the glory of being victorious!
